In mid 2018, I located a 2002 Subaru WRX in the Bay Area for around $2200 bucks. Obviously something was going to be wrong with the car, but I’m no stranger to these horizontally opposed turds.

When I picked up the car, I noticed the turbo (VF39) was leaking from the seals and the oil drain was non-existent. I trailered the car back home and immediately started digging into it.

Within the next months, the WRX received new STi Pink Injectors, a new VF39, new timing belt / water pump, head gaskets, valve covers, cobb AP3 and a giant TMIC. At this point the car was driveable, but definitely not at the point of daily status. I’ll make sure to keep you guys updated.

Standby for some engine shots and new wheel pics!
