Every car build has it’s complications and it’s expected when taking on a complete race car. The thing that sucks is when you spend a large amount of money just to need to tackle the job for a second… or a third time.
We made the mistake of purchasing a pre-fabricated roll cage for the Miata and having an inexperienced Miata roll cage fabricator build our Miata roll cage. If I can offer one piece of advice when putting a roll cage in any car, is to have a fabricator with experience with YOUR car or build.
As you can see, the main hoop is too low, the door bars aren’t up to par for NASA / SCCA, the harness bar is touching the seat.. It’s a complete mess.
