Ej205 / Ej207 TGV SENSOR AND CONNECTOR Replacement

Yo! I had the pleasure of replacing the passenger side TGV and TGV connector on my 2002 WRX (Check out the WRX here). The wiring connector and the TGV were damaged, preventing the TGV sensor from snapping completely together. This isn’t a tutorial but I’ll highlight the items you need so you don’t have to dig through nasioc to find them.

Parts Required:
TGV Sensor: Subaru Part#: 22633AA210
TGV Pigtail: iWire Pigtail w/ Crimps
When you take the sensor out, it’s held in by two tiny POS bolts, which you’ll more than likely lose.
TGV Bolts (2): M4-0.7 by 7-10mm length. These are the bolts that connector the TGV to the TGV housing. I picked the bolts up at my local hardware store and the 10mm length worked perfectly.

These bolts will likely be a 7mm head. The use of 1/4 inch ratchet with a long 7mm socket will make quick work for the bottom bolt. For the top bolt, I recommend getting yourself a 7mm flat wrench as it’ll make the job a lot less miserable.

I purchased a new TGV pigtail from iWire as I didn’t want to mess with de-pinning the connector.
